RanLOS defense

The program is designed to adapt civilian innovations for the defense industry, strengthening Sweden’s competitiveness and developing technology with the potential to address defense-related challenges in groundbreaking ways. This initiative is a joint effort by Vinnova and the Swedish Armed Forces, funded as part of a government mandate to create civil-military synergies. The program includes two components:

  • An accelerator program with defense industry participants
  • Funding for adapting civilian technology to military needs

Louice Rosdahl, CEO of RanLOS, says:
“Thanks to Vinnova and the Swedish Armed Forces’ joint program, we can focus even more and position ourselves in this area. The defense industry is in strong growth, and it is a key part of our strategic plan and one of our focus areas moving forward. We see great potential and look forward to starting this collaboration.”

The 1.3 million SEK funding will be used for needs analysis and adaptation of RanLOS technology to test resilient and robust solutions for secure communication in the defense industry. The program begins in November and will run for nine months.

Lars Granbom, Sales Director at RanLOS, comments:
“This is a fantastic opportunity for RanLOS. Through the accelerator program, we gain crucial information on specific customer needs within the defense industry and can build a network of potential customers. The 1.3 million SEK funding will be used for both adaptation and marketing of our testing system, which has the potential to optimize connectivity and antenna performance for radar, drones, and autonomous defense vehicles.”
